Wellington Education Group Privacy Policy

Effective date: 21 October 2026

Wellington Education Group operates educational services and the Google sign-in integration described on our application homepage. This policy explains what personal information the application accesses, why it is needed, how it is handled, and how you can request deletion.

1. Information accessed through Google sign-in

The learning-account sign-in feature requests three Google OAuth scopes:

Access begins only after you choose Google sign-in and complete Google authorization. The participating educational service handles the sign-in response and uses the identity details to locate or create your learning account. No Google permissions are required to read this website.

When you choose Sign in with Google, Google shares the basic identity information authorized on its consent screen. This may include:

Google authenticates you directly. We do not receive your Google password. The Google connection described in this policy is for account authentication; it does not require reading Gmail, Drive files, contacts, or calendars.

2. Other information collected

We receive information you submit directly, including account details and support messages. Services may also process learning activity associated with your account to provide their educational features. Hosting and security systems process technical request information, such as IP address, browser information, timestamps, and error logs, to deliver pages, troubleshoot problems, and prevent abuse.

3. How information is used

Google identity information is used to authenticate you, create or locate your learning account, display your account identity, and respond to account requests. Other service information is used to deliver educational features, maintain security, investigate errors, and respond to support requests. We do not sell Google user data, use it for personalized advertising, or use it to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

4. How information is stored and protected

Account information is held in the systems used to operate the educational services. Google authorization credentials, where retained by a service, are sensitive information and are used only for the authorized connection. Access to personal information is limited to people and service providers who need it to operate, maintain, secure, or support the service. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including HTTPS for these public pages. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We share personal information only as necessary with providers supporting hosting, account operation, security, and support; at your direction; or to meet legal obligations and protect lawful rights. Providers may process information only for the service purposes for which it is supplied. We do not transfer Google user data to data brokers, sell it, or disclose it for advertising. Human access to Google user data is limited to support you request or consent to, security investigations, legal requirements, or other uses permitted by Google's applicable policies.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep account identity information while your account is active and as needed to provide the services. If you request account deletion, we remove personal information that is no longer needed, subject to applicable legal obligations, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and the expiration of retained backups. Information retained for an exception is limited to that purpose. Technical logs are kept only as needed for operational, security, and legal purposes.

7. Your controls and requests

You may stop using the application and revoke its Google access through Google Account connections. Revoking access prevents future access through that authorization but does not automatically erase information already held in a service account.

To request access, correction, or deletion of your account and Google-derived personal information, email info@wellingtoneducationgroup.com with the subject ?Privacy request? and your account email address. Explain the request, but do not include passwords or authorization tokens. We may ask you to verify ownership of the account before acting on it. You can also ask about information retained after deletion and the reason for that retention.

8. Cookies and public pages

Learning services may use essential cookies or similar storage for login sessions and security. These public application information pages do not require an account, include advertising or analytics scripts, or set application login cookies. Hosting infrastructure may process requests for delivery and security.

9. Google API Services User Data Policy

Wellington Education Group's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only for the user-facing features described in this policy and authorized by the user.

10. Changes and contact

Updates will be published here with an updated effective date. Material changes to Google data access will require appropriate disclosure and authorization before the new use begins.
